Accreditation
An electrical installation audit is a mandatory legal requirement aimed at ensuring electrical safety and compliance with applicable regulations. Responsibility for arranging and conducting the audit lies with the owner of the electrical installation, who must ensure that the inspection is carried out in accordance with established procedures and within the prescribed time limits.
Viru Energialabor OÜ is an independent Type C inspection body accredited by the Estonian Accreditation Centre (EAK) and compliant with the requirements of impartiality and technical competence. The company is authorized to perform audits of electrical installations of Categories I, II, and III (registration number I034).

Public and commercial facilities
Electrical installation audits in multi-apartment residential buildings, cultural, educational, sports, and healthcare facilities, as well as commercial properties of any type and level of complexity.
Industrial facilities and electrical networks
Audits of industrial facilities, including installations in explosive atmospheres, as well as electrical network infrastructure facilities of any voltage level and complexity.
Usefull information
The scope of accreditation of Viru Energialabor OÜ covers pre-commissioning audits, periodic audits, and extraordinary audits of electrical installations in accordance with §§ 8 and 9 of the Equipment Safety Act and Regulation No. 86 of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure dated 03.07.2015.
Electrical installations subject to audit:
- Category II and III electrical installations with a nominal voltage up to 1000 V;
- Category II electrical installations with a nominal voltage above 1 kV up to 45 kV;
- Category II electrical installations with a nominal voltage above 45 kV;
- Category I electrical installations in explosive atmospheres and at high-risk industrial facilities;
- Category I electrical installations in healthcare facilities.
